Joyce Sealand is aware that clients want to protect their estates for their spouses and children, as well as for other parties or charities. They need to know their wishes will be addressed in a manner that will be easily understood. Clients also want to know that during this process, they will be able to ask questions and change their minds. This is not uncommon, and Ms. Sealand is always open to such concerns.

Ms. Sealand has practiced in the areas of estate and tax planning, tax return preparation, and probate law for 23 years. She is well experienced in addressing clients’ needs, concerns, and questions in matters including but not limited to:

  • Staying abreast of changing tax laws so the effects of such changes can be considered in estate and tax planning
  • Opening probate estates and guiding the parties through the process
  • Preparing individual, trust, and estate tax returns and representing clients before the IRS

Ms. Sealand speaks to professional groups in the areas of trusts, tax and estate planning, ethics, probate practice, and the effects of tax issues in prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and in divorce.
