Mr. Dunavant has been practicing law for over 40 years and has a depth of experience one might expect from a seasoned attorney. Mr. Dunavant is mindful that his clients expect timely and cost-effective legal services and he makes a concerted effort to provide these services. He concentrates his practice in the areas of general corporate law, cotton matters, commercial real estate, asset-based lending, and trademark law.
He has helped his banking clients with multistate real estate closings, asset-based advances, and large unsecured term loans. Mr. Dunavant has assisted his cotton clients in various complex matters, including preference claims in bankruptcy, formation of cooperatives, and cotton-related litigation.
Mr. Dunavant has served on the State Board of Law Examiners, as past president of the firm, and on various civic committees in Germantown, Tennessee. He is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Dunavant was recently selected by his peers for inclusion for the fifth year in The Best Lawyers in America 2017 in five different fields.
