Seminar Overview:
The U.S. Department of Labor recently published major changes to its overtime regulations. These changes will impact every business and its employees as approximately 4.2 million currently exempt employees will become eligible for overtime. While the new rules may be simple in theory, the practical issues surrounding implementation can be quite complex. These changes go into effect on December 1, 2016. The Labor & Employment Law group will be discussing the following topics:
- Explanation of the new overtime rules
- Compliance strategies for the new rules
- Employee communication issues
- Avoiding common mistakes
