Seminar Overview:
Every organization wants to protect its assets and protect its business against unfair competition. Companies often use non-compete, non-solicitation, and other restrictive covenants to prevent former employees from damaging its business, but the question becomes “Are these restrictions enforceable?” This seminar will discuss when a company can use restrictive covenants, what business interests a company can protect, and common problems with such agreements. The seminar will also focus on the questions and issues that arise when using independent contractors.
- Using restrictive covenants to protect your business
- Drafting enforceable restrictions
- Independent contractors vs. employees
