Andrew W. Shorten is an associate attorney who focuses his practice on construction, commercial litigation, corporate transactions and bankruptcy. Andrew has experience assisting both plaintiffs and defendants in matters surrounding disputes with homeowners’ associations, mechanics and materialman’s lien claims, shareholder disputes, disputes among landlords and tenants, as well as other business and tort matters.

Andrew assists his corporate clients with employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, organizational document, drafting and reviewing contracts, and other transactions involving both local and multinational businesses.

Additionally, Andrew has experience litigating conservatorship and other probate matters.

Andrew is a 2022 graduate of the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where he was the recipient of the CALI Excellence award for his work with the Law School’s Medical Legal Partnership Clinic. Additionally, he was awarded the Robert L. J. Spence, Jr. Moot Court Award for Oral Advocacy in the Advanced Moot Court Competition where he was Runner-Up.
