Shareholder Bert A. Echols III*

Bert Echols concentrates his practice on the representation of creditors in consumer and commercial bankruptcy matters locally and throughout the state of Florida. Bert’s experience includes protecting creditors’ rights in bankruptcy, including automatic stay issues, plan treatment, lien avoidance actions, and defending claims of preferential and fraudulent transfers. In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Bert further represents creditors in general consumer finance litigation, including replevin actions to recover property, actions to resolve vehicle title issues, seizures and forfeitures related to criminal investigations, and disputes involving towing and mechanic’s liens. Bert has reviewed and handled hundreds of statutory lien matters and has worked with his clients to develop procedures to combat issues related to unlawful charges and fraudulently asserted liens.
