Shareholder David L. Bourland*

David L. Bourland’s practice focuses primarily on estate planning (including probate and trust administration), estate and gift taxation, and business law. Boasting a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in taxation, an advanced law certification with global credibility, David’s broad practice experience, legal knowledge, and skill set enable him to develop estate plans at all levels of complexity, as well as allow him to provide solid, strategic advice to clients regarding the preservation and transfer of family wealth. As an extension of his estate planning services, David also dedicates his time to counseling clients regarding business succession planning matters as well as their transactional and operational needs. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Mr. Bourland was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2025 in the field of Tax Law and Trusts and Estates. This is his tenth year for inclusion. He has also been named the Best Lawyers 2023 Tax Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Memphis as well as the Best Lawyers 2020 Trusts and Estates “Lawyer of the Year” in Memphis.
