Richard Hunt is the Director, Commercial & Industrial of the Property Tax Group. He represents taxpayers at the state and local levels. Mr. Hunt has extensive experience in both commercial property appraisal and property tax appeals, successfully saving taxpayers millions of dollars every year.
Mr. Hunt is a Tennessee Registered Agent, and he is responsible for all of the Property Tax Group’s commercial properties in the State of Tennessee. Mr. Hunt works with taxpayers in formulating the correct commercial real estate tax strategy in over 90 counties. He also negotiates his clients’ value positions with tax assessors throughout the State of Tennessee.
Prior to joining Evans Petree, Mr. Hunt was the Managing Partner for a large regional accounting consulting firm. He attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute and a Certified Commercial Cost Estimator.
